I tillegg spilte de litt The Doors.
(Title: Conqueror - Aurora, episode 10, season 3, Skam)
2016 is soon history. It's a lot to be said about 2016, but it was definitely not a good year for old music legends. So many legends past, David Bowie, Lemmy Kilmister, Leonard Cohen and my huge hero and idol from my youth and even as an adult, Prince. The year the music died, but not really, since their music will be played and listened to forever. So many deaths kicked my butt to join a concerts I normally would have past. From thinking there will always be another opportunity, to grabbing every opportunity I get. You don't regret the things you do as much as you regret the things you didn't do. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to experience Prince live three times. The concert I remember best is the one in Bergen, Grieghallen on a Monday. We were a small group from work who decided to buy concert tickets. We drove to the airport as soon as work was done on Monday. Took the plane to Bergen, checked in as fast as we could at the airport hotel in Bergen. Caught a bus to the centrum, grabbed a burger in hand as we walked to the next bus which took us to the venue. As we arrived the venue we had just enough time to buy a beer and then Prince was on stage. Magical! The only word to describe the concert, Magical! After the concert we took the bus to the centrum, then another bus to the airport hotel. We managed to get a few hours of sleep before we jumped on the first morning plane back to Oslo. As we parked the car the bell rang and work began. It seemed like a week to us, but it had only been a day for everyone else. No regrets! So happy we did it! 2016 learned me to be impulsive and go after experiences. Concequence; I was at a lot of concerts in 2016 and have a lot of concert tickets for 2017.
One of the better concert moments in 2016 is Paul Simon in Oslo Spektrum. He's always good on stage, and he is one of artist I've been listening to from I was young. Even though the concert he did at the same venue with Ladysmith Black Mambooza was better, it's still one of the better moments from 2016. The old ones can still rock. Muse at Telenor arena was another highlight. They are always great live, and nothing can really beat the concert they had at Wembley in 2010, but this year's concert was still great. They manage to play at their best and give it all, every time. I can't avoid mentioning The Hollywood Vampires at Grøna Lund in Stockholm. My teenage idol Alice Cooper on stage, and the very first time I got to see him live. And Johnny Depp at the same stage, and Joe Perry. Can't really ask for that much more. And they played The Doors, which is my favourite band. An incredible experience! Of club concerts I have to mention Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls at Rockefeller. My first Frank Turner concert, and definetitely not my last. I have to admit I went to the concert without having listened to one song of them, but I that was clearly just me. Every one else knew their songs by heart. The floor was rocking, literally. Such an amazing crowd, and what a fun concert. My Spotify list for 2016 had two Frank Turner songs on top 5. A bit off topic this, but the point is, Life is NOW, to quote Skam. It's the moments that counts. Plan a 2017 filled with moments to cherish and remember, and remember nothing goes according to plan.
Yesterday in my calender was I will explain it all and a bottle of hot sauce saying: Pain is good. I look forward to try that one out. Today I got Seriously, you don't remember anything and more gorgous yarn. It will turn into something nice for me in 2017.
Some of the presents I knitted for Christmas has already been opened, and I love to get pictures like this.
