Sold out and a big writer at the stage. He's been to Norway a lot of times, but I have never watched him until tonight. I knew John Irving is a big writer and I have known since I read Hotel New Hampshire, to listen to him live confirmed his magic with words. I think Kristin Valla, the interviewer, managed to ask about five questions during the hour they talked, or he talked and told stories. I have heard writers before, but no one has been as good as John Irving to tell stories live. Yes, I know he has practiced a long time doing this and that he probably followed some kind of script, but still it was so interesting, inspiring and fun to listen to him. I could easily have listened to him a couple of more hours. I also feel like reading through my favorite books of him again. Did you know he writes about things that appall him? And that he write about the worst case scenario when writing about his characters? Of course I knitted while listening to him. The project of my choice was Cable Goodness Socks Top Down Toe Up Socks by Erin Case, knitted toe up. I haven't knit many toe up socks, since I haven't been able to make the right size. I haven't been able to figure out when to start the heel to get the right size I want. This pattern had the same kind of heel as top down socks. It was pretty easy and made me get the right size at the first try. This might mean more toe up socks. I'm using Regia Silk on needles 2,5 mm.

The Architect Of Great Novels
Strikketøyet for kvelden var Cable Goodness Socks Top Down Toe Up Socks av Erin Case, strikket tå-opp.
