Home for Christmas ... Most people want to go home for Christmas. This year we're going to be home for Christmas. Not very unusual, but we also normally travel to the Netherlands for either Christmas or New Years Eve. This year we're not doing that. We're going to be home at Christmas and New Years Eve. It's nice as wll. Not that it's not nice to travel, but we're not the only ones travelling home for Christmas. And at that time of year, not always the best weather to fly either. Even though it's real great to be in the Netherlands when we first arrive. But home for Christmas - not too bad either. I always think about the days between Christmas and New Years Eve as a neverending space of time. Not too big plans except I have plans to read the stack of books I have around here. About twenty-thirty books. And I'm going to finish the WIPs and the projects I've planned to knit. About twenty-thirty projects. How neverending was that space of time? A week? No, it's such an eternity before next year.
Even though I measure time in my own way, I actually do knit a bit as well. I have knitted another Florence Cowl. Same yarn, Tulliball, just a different colour. I gave this one away to Siw in her Christmas calendar. The other one I had to keep. But if you want a real nice cowl that's easy and fast to knit with a good fit, you should knit this cowl.
In my Christmas calendar I got a beautiful skein of yarn from Three Irish Girls. Lovely color, but of course impossible to get a photo of the colours when I don't have any opportunity to take a photo during daylight.
