Nothing like a deadline to get things done. I have had all summer to knit something for a cute little one, but I didn't start until Wednesday. Found some lambs wool from New Zealand I bought from MarionR at Ullhælj, and I casted on the Sweetheart dress designed by Tora Frøseth. Since I like to make some alternations on patterns, I had to make some on this pattern too. I casted on in pink and knitted the first rows with pink before I changed to grey and knitted the rest. I used pink again for the edge and the button band. I had to make some alternations anyway, since I had a different gauge than the pattern called for. The dress ended up in a size 6 months I guess. New Zealand lamb wool is real soft and fast to knit with, and the fabric it creates is real soft and smooth, definitely not the last time I use that yarn.
Can't get the video to work, but check it out on my Instagram profile strikkeann |
Lately we have been having real nice summer weather in Oslo. I haven't been knitting that much, since it's been too warm. But some has it been, and a bit reading. I started knitting a pair of socks in Opal. I have had some nice afternoons at my veranda in the sun multitasking as usual with a book and knitting.
