Well, it’s Corona ...
In these Corona times, wash your hands, keep inside and be safe! I had no plans to join Sock Madness this year. It's a sock knitting competition happening every spring. This year I had too many plans, so I wasn't going to join. But then comes Corona. I thought I might need something to keep me entertained. I admit I realized this a bit too late. I started knitting the first sock on Tuesday. And yes, that is a bit late when the deadline is at 5 pm. Saturday. I knitted and knitted, and finished the first sock Friday evening. Yes, right! But it's Saturday and no work, I thought. I can make it! First I made another mistake, I thought I had enough yarn of the main color, but after finishing the first sock I had 18 g left of the main color. So I switched main color and contrast color. And yes, I managed to finish both socks, take a quick photo and mail it in. The only problem is that I apparently can't read, so I skipped the part in the pattern where it says slip one stitch on the sole. So I'm a cheerleader this year.
I think I have enough activities to pass time. I'm optimistic on day 2 working from home even if I'm missing work and colleagues already. Working from home with minimal of contact with other human beings is extremely hard for an extrovert, I'm just saying. But hopefully I can decrease my yarn stash and number of WIPs during this period. Strange times! So what are you doing to keep busy during these weird times?
