I always seem to knit faster when the amount of yarn decreases. It doesn't help, but mentally it helps a bit. This time I ran out of yarn. Either I knit too slow, or I just completely missed when I calculated the amount of yarn. Either way, I ran out of one of the colors. Just at the end of the first part of Vertices Unite by Stephen West. And I planned on knitting the shawl with scrap yarn. Should I wait to knit on until I had time to get into a store and buy one more skein? Should I frog everything and start over with different colors? I admit I'm a bit lazy, so I figured I just keep on knitting in the one color I still had more yarn from. How visible can it be? Well, quite visible actually, but Vertices Unite is put together of different parts anyway, and I think I just keep on knitting and see how the project turns out. I think it will be fine. Laziness wins.
