No, I wasn't supposed to do it. Not because I wanted to relax, but so I could focus on my studies and written assignments. I ended up doing it anyway. Sometimes I have these discussions with myself, and I loose more often than I win. The reasonable me says it's just knitting, a "competition" and it doesn't mean a thing. The most important is to work with the written assignments and start studying for my exams. The more emotional me think that I might pull off both. It ends well, even though I end up superstressed before the exam papers are due and the oral exams come before I had time to finish my studying and I probably wish for another two weeks and not two hours. Guess who won? Again! Well, here are the socks I knitted for round 3 in Sock Madness. I don't really know if I'm still competing, since I just sent in the email. A part of me thinks it might as well be a good thing if I'm out - more time to study. The other part of me thinks it's totally annoying to have forgotten the finished sock back home when going to a birthday party the whole day. (That part also fought the feeling of driving an hour back home to get it and then an hour back to the party, but that part of me didn't dare to say that out loud.) Well, the socks are mailed in whether I'm in or out. They are knitted using Fabel from Garnstudio on needles 2,5 mm. They are really big, since I was real careful not to knit them too small, and they ended up as size 40-41. Interesting construction and fun to knit. Waimakariri is the pattern name and Sony Newstead is the designer.

Relax, Don't Do It
Igjen!
