(Tittel: Alone Again - The Weeknd)
Friday and weekend. It just doesn't feel like it. The days seems to float into each other at this time. I bet I'm not the only one feeling like that right now. I know many people being so efficient, tidying and washing basements and closets. I'm not! I don't really know where to start. I have done some knitting the last days. The first days I couldn't even wrap my head around knitting. I managed to finish a sweater designed by KnittingIna. It's really a children's design, but with a few simple adjustments it fits my 17 year old. I used Alpakka wool from Du store alpakka and Dream Line Air from Du store alpakka. Very soft and squishy, but I think it's too warm to wear before a new winter is coming. I refuse to face the thought of a new winter of course, but this time it is actually not a horrible thought. A new winter of the more normal kind with snow, sleet, ice, scraping of ice from my car windows an early morning when I'm too late for work, fire and hot chocolate, wet shoes and cold hands. Right now I wonder how warm the weather is going to be before we're allowed to go out and enjoy the city, talk and hug friends, stand tight on a concert and be a bit annoyed at the person bumping into you so you spilt your beer on the person in front of you. That was good times, and good times will come again. I try not to think to much about it and just enjoy the sun in my garden with a new project using yarn from my stash, reading a book from my bookshelf while listening to some music. Not too bad, I have to admit. I have just started the Horizon Shawl by G;uld using their yarn. So easy to knit, and at the same time so much fun. Surprisingly fun actually. It might have to do with those small skeins in different colors. I feel like I want to finish just one skein before I do something else. And the shawl seems to turn out to one I know I'm going to use all the time. As soon as the temperature allows it, of course. First spring, and I hope to enjoy my hometown in the spring sun while listening to the buzz and clatter of people talking and drinking a beer outside.
