Summer is here! Finally! After a lousy spring where we actually experienced snow in May. I always dream of sun and warm weather during the winter. I love walking to a park with a blanket, my knitting and a book and listening to some good music during spring. This spring the weather didn't make that possible. Today the sun was up and the weather was great, so I enjoyed my book, knitting and some good music at a beach downtown today. I really hope this summer will bring me many of these days. I imagine a long summer. Just like the ones I remember having when I was a kid. Endless strings of strawberries, sun, sand between my toes and sunsets. I plan for a small eternity of course. I signed up for Stashdash2017 at The Knit Girllls group at Ravelry. The goal is to reduce your yarn stash, and you count it in km. You can choose between 1K, 3K, 5K, 7K, 10K and 15K. I went for 15K of course. I really need to reduce my yarn stash before I go to Rhinebeck in October. I'm not sure I will make it, but I hope so. I have finished the yoke on the Wu Tang Clan-sweater, the Nancy jacket and the Flee jacket, so I hope that will get me a bit on the way to 15K. And Stashdash2017 doesn't end until 20. August.
I also signed up for another yarn stash-thing. Fill up a box with yarn from your stash and knit it all before 30. September. Big plans for that along as well. Everything making me reduce my yarn stash, is a good thing.
My knitting plans was filled up all of a sudden. So what about you? What do you plan to knit this summer? I normally knit just as much as during winter, when you live in Norway the temperatures never get too high for knitting.
