I'm not going back to school yet, but my Back-to-School vest from the book Fitted Knits is finished. I could have finished it during the weekend, but I clearly had a mathproblem when I calculated how much yarn I needed. It's irritating, and especially since I discovered that I'm not a math genius Saturday evening. There's a big problem finding open yarn stores at that time. Yeah, I know that on line stores are open, but they got a delivery problem Saturday evenings, or so I've heard. There's only one thing to do, wait until Monday comes and the shops open again. Well, I didn't excactly sit angrily in my coach the whole weekend. There is always a lot of projects in this house. Back-to-School is knitted in Alaska from Garnstudio.
Due to some mathproblems Saturday evening I got around to knit on the wooltights for my daughter. It's just boring to knit thights, but they are warm and useful. This one I'm knitting in Merino Extra Fine from Garnstudio. I might be a skein short on this tight as well. I think I have to refresh my mathskills.
I recently received a great Secret Pal gift with yarn from Sandnes Alpakka. It's a yarn I haven't tried yet. The yarn was very tempting, so I started on a pair of Odals mittens. Odal is a place northwest of Oslo in Norway. The mittens are for my husband, and they are easy to knit. They are so soft and nice, so I might have to buy more skeins of Sandnes Alpakka.
