Feriestrikk og ferielesing

Jeg hadde problemer med hva jeg skulle pakke før høstferien. 10 dager borte, og det vanskeligste er alltid å finne ut hvilke bøker og hvile strikkeprosjekter som skal pakkes. Etter masse tenking endte jeg opp med en bunke bøker og en haug med garn. Hvordan gikk det med alt jeg pakket ned? Jo, jeg leste omtrent alle bøkene. Jeg er halvveis i the Girl with the Gifts og fikk ikke startet Games of Thrones, men til gjengjeld leste jeg også to nettbøker. Garnet? Det var varmere enn jeg trodde, så Finull var ikke veldig praktisk på stranda i 37 grader. Jeg fikk strikket på Finulla på flyet begge veier. Sokkene ble ferdige bortsett fra trådfesting. Dåpskjolen ble bærestykket nesten ferdig. Bolen på Line Langmo-genser ble nesten ferdig også. Jeg tror jeg feilberegnet veldig på mengden garn til den genseren. Den blir veldig lett og luftig, så jeg har en i huset som gleder seg til den blir ferdig. Alt i alt er jeg fornøyd med at alle prosjektene jeg hadde med nedover ble strikket på. Nå er det bare å fullføre dem her hjemme i høstværet. Jeg er et sommermenneske, men må innrømme at det har sin sjarm å sitte i sofakroken med teppe, varm te, strikketøy og tente stearinlys og kanskje en strikkepodcast på.

I had some problems with what to pack before fall vacation. 10 days gone, and the hardest thing is always to figure out which books and which knitting projects to pack. After a lot of thinking I ended up with a small pile of books and a bunch of yarn. How did it go with all the books and yarn I packed? I read almost all the books. I'm halfway in The Girl with all the Gifts, and I didn't start Games of Thrones, but I read two e-books as well. The yarn? It was a lot hotter than I thought it would be, luckily, so Finull wasn't really handy at the beach in 37 degrees Celcius. But I knitted with it on the airplane both ways. I finished the socks. I did some knitting at the white yarn and knitted almost up to the point to divide the yoke for sleeves. I almost finished the yoke on the Line Langmo-sweater too. I think I miscalculated how much yarn I need for that sweater, since the yoke is almost done, but I have so much yarn left. All in all I'm satisfied that I knitted a bit of every project I dragged with me. Now I have to finish up things back home. I am a summer person, but I have to admit that the fall has its charm too with a blanket in the coach, my knitting, a warm cup of tea, knitting and lit candles and maybe a knitting podcast.
