I Wanna Go Outside

Så mange ting som var helt normalt tidligere, er liksom helt uaktuelt nå. Håndhilse, klemme, stå skulder mot skulder på konsert. Så mange ting som var irriterende tidligere, er ting jeg tar meg i å savne nå. Kø for å kjøpe øl på et utested, småknuffing på konsert, folk som ikke klarer å tømme lommene i security-sjekk på flyplasser. Det er utrolig hva et virus kan gjøre med verden. Ingen kunne vel drømme om at hjemmekontor, hjemmeskolen og sosial distansering skulle være normalen. Året 2020 - da alle planer ble utsatt et år og ingenting ble som planlagt. Ok, nesten ingenting da. Jeg leser og strikker som planlagt da. Eller nesten som planlagt. Jeg hadde så klart planlagt å strikke mye mer, men det gjør jeg jo alltid. Ingenting nytt der, altså. Trodde også at jeg skulle få mye mer tid til å strikke med sosial distansering. Det var egentlig feil. Men hva visste vel jeg? Jeg meldte meg som teststrikker til en hel haug med prosjekter. Angrer ikke, men burde kanskje lære meg å telle? Denne genseren er nok en teststrikk. Dette mønsteret heter Crown, og er ikke publisert enda. Garnet er Qing Fibre, og jeg vant det fra Stephen&Penelope under World Wide Knit In Public Day. Utrolig deilig garn, og for en premie! Monstermønster som nok en gang har tatt bildene. Fornøyd med denne genseren! Eneste som er irriterende at jeg dampet den og fikk en brett på ermet ...

So many normal things are completely out of the question right now. Shaking hands, hugs, stand shoulder to shoulder at a concert. So many annoying things, are things I actually miss right now. Queuing to buy a beer in a pub, the normal pushing in a crowd at a concert, people who aren't able to empty their pockets in the security check at the airport. It's astonishing what a virus can do to the world. Nobody could have dreamed about working from home, home schooling and social distancing being the new normal. 2020 - the year every plan was postponed a year and no plans got through. Well, almost nothing. I read and knit as planned though. Or almost as planned. I had planned to knit a lot more, but I always do. Nothing new. I thought I'd have time to knit a lot more during the social distancing. Well, what did I know? I signed up as a test knitter for a lot of projects. I don't regret it, but I should probably learn to count! This sweater is yet another test knit. The pattern is called Crown, and is not published yet. The yarn is Qing Fibre, and I won it from Stephen&Penelope during World Wide Knit In Public Day. Such a lovely yarn! And what a prize! Monstermønster took the photos again. I'm real happy with this sweater! Just a bit annoying I steamed the sweater and have a fold at the sleeve ...
