Yesterday Nita popped in for a visit. Occasionally we meet and of course we knit. And of course we talk a lot. Yesterday was one of those nights when we talked a lot more than we knitted, or actually we knit while we talk. The only problem yesterday was that we had to knit backwards all the time. I was halfway on a devil hat, but had to frogg it twice and have moved back to start.
Bruker Geilsk-garn.

I have also knitted a bit on Topstykket. When I finally got the hang of the decreasing, it's really an easy pattern to knit. I'm looking forward to finish this project, because I can hardly wait to wear it. The yarn is so soft. I'm using Geilsk yarn.

What a weekend! What a competition! And yes, I have discovered my bad mathematical skills in the last post, and I've had a good laug! My bad skills with numbers caused several errors this weekend. Not that easy to push the right numbers on the computer, upload pictures of FOs and cast on for new projects at the same time. The Oslo-team ended up at second runner up, and had great fun. This competition could have been really useful if I had stayed away from yarn shops. But I had a weak moment or baby my knitting needles was too hot, and I ended up in the store and bought 450 g yarn. But I have almost knitted up everything. My projects in this competition was: Mittens in Lett Lopi, are going to be felted, Stripy dress in alpaca, Merino Extra Fine, Karisma, Jaeger and Juvel, small woollen carpet in Julia, is going to be felted and a dishtowel in Tuva.
I have signed up for a Destash competition at
Finally done with the tights for my daughter. Tights are such a boring knit, but it turned out soft and nice. Hopefully it will fit her next season as well. I have used Merino Extra Fine from Drops.
I have bought Topstykke from Geilsk. It's so delicate and nice, and I hope to finish it soon. I just want to use it, but I'm going to knit for the Destash competition. Unfotunately I have realised this might take time to knit, cause I have already frogged the start four times.
I just have to have a lot of projects going on at the same time, and here's socks for my dad. It's actually a Christmas present, but it's always nice to start early? You learn from your mistakes, or you try to learn at least.
Recently I received a Secret Pal gift, and the yarn, Sandnes alpakka, was so tempting that I just had to find a project right away. My husband wanted mittens, and he liked Odalsmittens. So I knitted Odalsmittens for him. They look a bit odd, long and thin, but it's rib all the way so they are very stretchy. I have one skein of blue left, and I guess my husband will get a hat as well.

Due to some mathproblems Saturday evening I got around to knit on the wooltights for my daughter. It's just boring to knit thights, but they are warm and useful. This one I'm knitting in Merino Extra Fine from Garnstudio. I might be a skein short on this tight as well. I think I have to refresh my mathskills.

Some things are just meant to be knitted in numbers. Fishy is obvisioly one of them. My daughter had to get one as well. She chose the colors herself from my stash. Great project to use from my stash.
I'm still knitting on my Retro Rib Socks. I hope to finish them during the weekend.
