During my holidays I have finished my tights in alpaca for my daughter. Picture of it is coming, because she has already started to use it. It was a great feeling to finish it. I don't think I will knit any more tights in alpaca for a while. The yarn is thin and it takes like forever to finish a tight, but never say never. I have also finished my husband's football socks. He has started using them as well. I'll take a picture of them next year. Wow, that sounds strange. We went on holiday without wool socks for my little boy, so I had to knit a pair. I knitted a pair in Regia Fasett, and they are now in the washing machine.

I have knitted something I have taken pictures of as well. This dress is for me. I am so pleased with it. It fits perfect and is so soft and great. I knitted it in alpaca and Safran cotton. It was a real fast knit on needles 6 mm. Tulla ble også fornøyd. Jeg har strikket ferdig prinsessegenseren hennes. Den har ligget halvferdig en god stund pga. julegavestrikking.

My daughter is very pleased. I have finally finished her princess sweater. I started on it early this autumn, but it has been on hold because I started knitting Christmas presents. But here it is, finished. Jeg ønsker alle et godt nytt år!
I wish every one a happy new year!

The day before Christmas and soon all the stress is gone and we can relax and enjoy Christmas. I'm done with all the presents, but have to wrap some of them tonight. I still have to do a bit of cleaning and tidying in the house as well, but I'll do that after the kids are asleep tonight. Not too much to do left now. The last Christmas gift was finished last night, so now I have to find something to knit during Christmas. I hade decided to knit a dress for myself, but I think I am going to be resonable and finish some of my projects. I think I'm going to start on my dress, but you have to have several projects to knit on at the same time? Well, all that's left, is to wish everyone

I've got a present from

I have bought some yarn for some projects I'm going to knit during the Christmas holidays. A lot of lovely pink yarn. It might be a bit too pink, but I like pink. A little color brightens the day, though. Will be exciting to see if it's too pink or not.
I have noticed that this is the time to make Christmas presents. A lot of the blogs I visit have just close up pictures of what they are making. I'm knitting Christmas presents as well. Christmas time is getting close. We have baked to kind of Christmas cookies, decorated a little bit and have started to wrap a few of the Christmas presents. I take my chances and dare to show what I have been knitted since last time. I don't think they read my blog, or so I hope. Here is a couple of Bainbridge scarves.
I have knitted mittens in Alpakka from Drops. They are so soft and delicious. Hopefully warm as well. The pattern is from Garnstudio, but originally they were gloves but I made them into mittens.
Finally done with the Christmas calendar. I was actually done on Monday, but haven't had the time to blog. Now I'm going to hang small presents on it and hang it on the wall. Then all that's left is everything else I'm supposed to have done before Christmas. Don't think I'm going to do cross stitch for a long time.

Christmas is coming soon. I just miss the black around every figure and the numbers on my Christmas calendar, but it's only a few more days before my son's starting to use it for the first time. Have to admit that this project is not the most interesting and fun I've done in my life. But it's soon done, and then both of the kids have their own and I'm not going to make another one.

There have been few updates here recently. I can feel Christmas closing up with everything that comes along. I'll try to update my blog, but a lot of things are happening IRL as well. I have started on another Harry Potter scarf. It's a Christmas present for one of the adults in my children's kinder garden. I hope he'll like it. It's a very easy scarf to knit and because of the stripes it isn't boring to knit one purl one either. I'm knitting it in Viking Sport, 100% wool.
I forgot to post my pictures from K1 in Glasgow. The owner was there when I shopped and she was the nicest person. Great service at that store.
I have been to Glasgow. It's a town with many tempting shops and a couple of yarnshops. I didn't shop as much as I thought I would, but I bought some skeins. Don't know what to knit of the yarn I bought, but the blue yarn is going to be a sweater for my son. The black yarn is Tapestry from Rowan. It's so soft and deliciuos.
Lovely colors on this yarn as well. Freedom Spirit, but I never heard of it. I don't know what to use it for, but it's so soft and lovely to touch. It's quite thick as well, so I guess it will be easy to knit something of it.
It was a great selection of knitting books, and I already regret I didn't buy more than one. I have some Noro yarn but no pattern. I know I want to knit a sweater or a jacket for me, and in this book there were several I wanted.
Didn't have time to knit while I was in Glasgow, but had a lot of time on the plane back and forth. I knitted a bit on my sweater in Inca for me.
I have now knitted the first Brann-sock for my husband. I really feel it's not that motivating to start knitting the second sock. I better knit it at once, because I can feel this could easily be a UFO. But when I think a bit about it, why is it so important this is not going to be a UFO? No, I'll finish the socks for my husband. But I think I'm going to knit myself a pair in the right colors.
