Now I've had time to finish sock number two. The pictures didn't turn out that good, but it'll have to do.

Now I've had time to finish sock number two. The pictures didn't turn out that good, but it'll have to do.

I have heard about the second sock syndrome, but I didn't think that would be something I get. Nowadays I'm knitting on an order, Setesdals sweater. Well, it's not that great fun to knit. I have knitted up to the neck and that means I have to knit back and forth with two threads. Can you think about something better than knitting back and forth with two threads? I can.
It's better to knit something easy and fast. And a little break can't harm the progress too much! I started on a couple of socks for my daughter in Fabel. I knitted on the sock on a day course. Actually I managed to finish the sock. When I got home the Setesdals sweater looked angry at me from the sofa.
Another day and another course, but I just didn't feel like knitting the second sock for my daughter. I grabbed a new skein of Fabel and started on a sock for my son. Well, well, I finished another sock. Since I was a bit tired, I didn't knit in the evening, but hey, I finished a sock.
I knitted half a round on the Setesdals-sweater, but I found out I needed another break. Felt a bit guilty because of the other breaks, so I startet on the first arm.
I've been in Tananger on a national knit-weekend. What a weekend! Imagine spending a whole weekend with nice, chatty women who love yarn the way you do! I knitted a less than I thought I would, but I chatted more than I thought I would, and I bought too much yarn. Who can resist the temptation at Sandnes Uldvarefabrikk and Viking? We stopped by two local yarnshops as well. I ended up with a lot of yarn. I had decided not to buy that much yarn, but still the skeins jumped in my cart anyway. I have no idea what to knit of all that yarn, except some of the Smart yarn is going to be mittens.

I have almost finished two pairs of Mitered mittens by Elisabeth Zimmerman. They are knitted in Smart and are Christmas presents. I have knitted a pair in red and brown as well. They are a birthdaypresent and I used Merino wool from Drops.
Before I went to Tananger I finished a tunic for my daughter in Alfa. The pattern is from Kæk og klassisk børnestrik by Lene Samsøe. Easy and fas knit. I think I used two or three evenings to finish it.
